Hello, I'm Elaine. I’m an twenty-something year old from Ireland. I started blogging in 2009, MISSEBLOG is my little space on the internet to share my favourite things, style inspiration and life snippets. Blogging introduced me to HTML and I quickly became fascinated with web design. The following year I swapped my architectural books for Adobe Creative Suite as I left my childhood career dreams behind and started a new degree. I started XOMISSE Blog in 2013, began writing for Blogosphere Magazine and interned at a digital marketing and web design agency. After graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Digital Media, I took a couple of months out to live in Brussels while blogging full time. Once I returned to Dublin I decided to jump straight into running my own business as a freelance web designer/front-end developer and so XOMISSE evolved.
Since then I’ve worked with hundreds of creatives from all over the world, spoke at the Blogtacular Conference about DIY Blog Design and in March 2016 I moved to London to join the Blogosphere team three days a week as their Web Developer and Editorial Assistant.
I’m a learn by doing, sarcastic humoured type who single-handedly keeps Coca-Cola in business. I love clean fonts, leopard print nails and snowboarding. My laptop is never too far away from me, but when I do decide to step away from work I can usually be found watching Disney Pixar movies, picking up a new book to read, exploring London and catching up on the latest TV show – current faves include Scandal, The Blacklist & Pretty Little Liars.
